BLT Salad Recipe

Mmmm. America’s favorite sandwich has now been turned into a delicious salad. All that’s missing is the bread slices! Enjoy this incredibly delicious salad as a main course, side dish or pot luck item. TIP: Place the bacon in the fridge for 10 minutes before mixing with the other ingredients to cool it off.

Ingredients:

4 slices of bacon
1 tomato
3 cups of lettuce, your choice of lettuce
1/3 cup Ranch dressing

Directions:

In a frying pan, cook bacon. While the bacon is cooking, cut up the tomato into small pieces or chunks. Rinse and break apart the lettuce. Once the bacon is done cooking, pat it dry, removing as much grease as possible, then crumble the bacon into pieces. Place all ingredients, including dressing into a suitable sized bowl with lid and shake in all directions for about 20-30 seconds. Remove lid, serve and enjoy!

A BLT Salad, Not Sandwich Recipe

This is a great way to include all the ingredients you love of a BLT sandwich into a refreshing salad instead. TIP: For more taste, add 8 oz sour cream, 1 tbsp lemon juice, and a pinch of each garlic powder and basil to the mayo, making a mayo mixture that’s irresistible.

Ingredients:

1 baking pan 13x9 in size
1 pkg bacon, cooked and crumbled
5 plum tomatoes, cut into chunks
1 head of iceberg lettuce, washed and torn
3 cups large croutons
1 cup mayo
Salt and Pepper, to taste

Directions:

Layer the Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato into the baking dish. Next, spread the mayo evenly over the ingredients completely. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours. When you're ready to serve the salad, sprinkle the croutons over the top and add salt and pepper to taste.
